    Inspectability

    Definition

    The ability to trace any AI-assisted decision back to its inputs, assumptions, and human approvals. An inspectable system can answer: who decided this, on what basis, with what verification?

    Why It Matters

    Without inspectability, accountability becomes impossible. When AI assists decisions and those decisions cannot be traced, organisations accumulate invisible execution debt — failures occur, but there is no trail to learn from or correct.
